What You’ll Do
- Create designs and update layouts for professional learning materials for educators.
- Attend and participate in project meetings, as needed. Document and follow up on important actions from meetings.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors, design and production teams, and cross-functional collaborators.
- Understand and execute project goals and maintain schedules.
- Track tasks using project management tool.
Here’s how you’ll contribute:
Print (PDF) Layout Design:
- Layout Design: Create new single and multi-page documents from templates based on style guides. Update the design and copy of existing single and multi-page documents.
- Design Standards: Ensure projects adhere to design best practices and adjust layouts accordingly.
- Updates and Revisions: Revise documents based on feedback with close attention to detail.
- Accessibility: Apply accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.2, ADA Compliance).
Digital Design & Production:
- E-Learning materials: Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create, revise, and maintain interactive Professional Learning guides and course materials. Support the development process by editing content, incorporating multimedia, and designing layouts using Articulate Rise and Storyline software (prior experience with software not required).
- Design Systems: Apply style guides and design systems to maintain consistency across materials and strong user experience design.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews of digital courses to ensure alignment with instructional design standards, accessibility guidelines, and content accuracy. Provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
- File Maintenance: Monitor and update the digital professional learning library (Sharepoint and BrandFolder) to ensure resources are current and well-organized.
- Video Editing (light): Edit and prepare basic video content for use in professional learning courses, ensuring clarity, quality, and branding consistency.
- Author CMS Content: Author CMS content with fidelity. Build templated page layouts, apply rules-based metadata / tagging system, and revise and edit content, for web-based publishing.

Key Skills & Expertise
Experience designing eLearning materials is preferred.
Software:
- (Expert) Design/edit documents: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
- (Proficient) Author LMS course: Articulate, or other platform
- (Bonus) Design/edit slides: Microsoft PowerPoint
- (Bonus) Author in CMS: Totara, or other platform
- (Bonus) Video edit: Adobe After Effects.
- (Bonus) Figma
Experience & Education
- At least 2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- A portfolio of work; including proven experience in digital and print design
- Experience in Education Publishing (Print and Digital), GK-12, Print Books
