We are looking for an experienced Polishing Foreman to oversee the polishing and finishing department in our furniture production unit. The role involves supervising the polishing team, ensuring high-quality surface finishing of wooden furniture, maintaining consistency in stain shades, and implementing standard polishing techniques.

Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision: Lead, train, and monitor a team of polishers to achieve daily and monthly production targets.
Quality Control: Ensure all polished products meet company standards for color accuracy, smoothness, and finish.
Material Handling: Oversee preparation and mixing of stains, sealers, thinners, and top coats as per standard ratios.
Process Management: Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hand polishing, spray polishing, and finishing techniques.
Work Allocation: Assign tasks to polishers based on skill and project requirements while ensuring timely completion.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues such as uneven finish, shade mismatch, or surface defects.
Inventory & Safety: Maintain records of polishing materials, minimize wastage, and ensure safe usage of chemicals.
Coordination: Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to deliver finished products as per client expectations.
Training: Regularly train polishing staff on advanced techniques and new finishes (e.g., matt, glossy, PU, melamine).

Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in wood polishing/finishing, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of stains, sealers, top coats, and spray polishing machines.
Ability to identify and match stain shades with precision.
Leadership and team management skills.
Understanding of workplace safety while handling chemicals.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishing.
