Job Title: Placement Coordinator

Job Summary
The Placement Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the student placement process, including internships and final job placements. The coordinator will act as the primary liaison between students, the educational institution, and potential employers. This role involves a combination of career counseling, relationship management, and event planning to maximize student employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate and Industry Relations:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a diverse range of companies and organizations to identify internship and job opportunities.
- Conduct outreach to new companies and network with industry professionals to expand the employer base.
- Serve as the main point of contact for companies, managing all communication and logistics related to campus recruitment drives.
- Collaborate with industry partners to understand their hiring needs and ensure the institute's curriculum and student skills align with market demands
Student Career Development and Guidance:
- Provide one-on-one career counseling and group guidance sessions to students on career paths, industry trends, and job search strategies.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions on essential skills such as resume writing, cover letter preparation, and interview techniques.
- Assist students in creating professional profiles and portfolios.
- Advocate for students during the placement process, ensuring their skills and career aspirations are matched with suitable opportunities.
Placement Operations and Management:
- Organize and execute on-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, industry visits, and other placement-related events.
- Create and disseminate a comprehensive placement brochure showcasing student profiles and program details.
- Manage and maintain a database of student information, company contacts, and placement records.
- Coordinate the entire recruitment logistics, from scheduling interviews and tests to ensuring a smooth process for both students and recruiters.
- Collect and analyze placement data and feedback from employers and students to generate reports and identify areas for improvement.
Internal Collaboration:
- Work closely with faculty and department heads to stay informed about student academic progress, projects, and skill sets.
- Collaborate with the alumni association to leverage the alumni network for placement opportunities and mentorship.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the institution's placement policies and strategies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Education. A Master's degree is often preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a career services, recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Demonstrable track record of building relationships with corporate clients.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and industry professionals.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to planning and execution.
- Proficiency in using career management software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and standard office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of current labor market trends and recruitment best practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
