We are looking for an efficient Pipe Fitter to join our team. You should be able to install and repair pipe systems using hand tools and other required equipment. You should also clean the work area and clear the same of any debris and dust.

Furthermore, you should be able to test the functionality of the pipe systems and ensure that it is in working order. You should follow safety procedures when undertaking any welding work. Your technical skills will be beneficial in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Besides, you should display good mechanical skills and impressive physical dexterity.

Furthermore, you should ensure that the pipes are measured, cut, and fitted to match the specifications. You should be willing to work on weekends and public holidays. A proven work experience in the Construction industry will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Clearing the work area of any obstructions
  

• Inspecting the area and providing approximate work completion timelines to the clients
  

• Transporting required materials and equipment to the job site
  

• Interpreting the blueprints and planning the piping system accordingly
  

• Using hand tools to install and modify pipes
  

• Measuring, marking, and cutting pipes
  

• Securing and fixing pipes to walls and other surfaces with clamps and brackets
  

• Resolving any pipe system problems and repairing breakage/leakage
  

• Testing the functionality of the piping system
  

• Adhering to the safety protocols when working
  

• Welding and lubricating pipes
  

• Undertaking minor maintenance and pipe cleaning activities
  

• Testing installed pipe systems using hydrostatic testing and pressure gauge

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
  

• Proven work experience in the construction industry as a Pipe Fitter
  

• Excellent mechanical and technical skills
  

• Familiarity with welding tools like safety glasses, wire brush, and chipping hammer
  

• Knowledge of safety protocols
  

• Having an eye for detail
  

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  

• Demonstrating physical dexterity
  

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
  

• Ability to work for long, flexible hours and on weekends
  
• Ability to offer increased customer service
