A PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) Computer teacher is primarily responsible for teaching computer science to senior secondary students (classes 11 and 12), developing and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student performance, and creating a positive learning environment. They also play a crucial role in guiding students in practical applications, coding, and project-based learning.
- Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum, focusing on topics like programming, algorithms, databases, networking, and emerging technologies.
- Engage Students: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess Student Performance: Regularly assess student progress through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
- Utilize Technology: Integrate technology effectively into lessons and learning experiences, utilizing smart classes and online resources.
- Develop Instructional Materials: Create and maintain relevant and engaging learning materials, including presentations, handouts, and practical exercises.
- Stay Updated: Continuously update knowledge and skills related to computer science education and emerging technologies.
Classroom Management and Support:
- Maintain Order: Implement classroom management strategies to ensure a focused and productive learning environment.
- Provide Guidance: Offer guidance and support to students with varying learning needs, adapting teaching methodologies as required.
- Foster Collaboration: Encourage collaboration and teamwork among students, facilitating group projects and discussions.
