We are seeking a highly skilled Pattern Master with expertise in developing patterns using CAD or other pattern-making software. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transforming design concepts into production-ready patterns while ensuring precision, fit, and efficiency in garment construction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pattern Development:
* Create precise garment patterns using CAD software.
* Develop patterns for new styles based on design specifications, sketches, or samples.
* Modify and adjust existing patterns for size grading and fit improvement.
2. Grading & Fit Adjustments:
* Grade patterns into multiple sizes while maintaining design integrity and proper fit.
* Conduct fit trials, analyze issues, and implement necessary corrections.
* Work closely with the sampling and production team to achieve the best fit and construction.
3. Technical Expertise & Fabric Understanding:
* Ensure patterns are optimized for fabric consumption and ease of production.
* Determine shrinkage allowances and seam allowances based on fabric type.
* Provide technical guidance on stitching and finishing techniques.
4. Collaboration & Coordination:
* Work closely with designers, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure seamless execution.
* Coordinate with sampling tailors to create initial samples and make necessary pattern corrections.
* Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure patterns meet industry standards.
5. Software & Documentation:
* Maintain a digital library of all patterns and technical files.
* Ensure accuracy in pattern notations, cutting instructions, and marker making.
* Stay updated with the latest pattern-making software and industry trends.
6. Requirements & Qualifications:
* Diploma or Degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Design or Pattern Making.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in pattern development for garments.
* Proficiency in CAD-based pattern-making software.
* Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading techniques.
* Knowledge of different fabric types and their behavior.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
7. Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
* Experience in lingerie, innerwear, or nightwear pattern-making.
