Job Title: Nursing Staff – Operation Theatre (OT)
Location: HCG Cancer Hospital - Mansarovar, Jaipur

Reports To: OT Manager / Nursing Superintendent
Job Summary:
The OT Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality perioperative care to surgical patients. This includes pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative assistance. The nurse must ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and that the operating theatre environment is safe and well-organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room before surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and sterile supplies are available.
- Assist surgeons during operations by handling instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Coordinate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
- Count instruments, sponges, and needles pre- and post-surgery to prevent retention.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control protocols.
- Document nursing care, observations, and surgical details accurately.
- Assist in patient positioning, skin preparation, and draping before surgery.
- Ensure post-operative transfer of patients to the recovery room and provide handover to recovery staff.
- Support emergency surgical procedures as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Must be a registered nurse with the Nursing Council.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in OT (freshers can be apply)
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and OT protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts and on-call duties.
Work Conditions:
- Exposure to surgical procedures and bodily fluids.
- Requires standing for extended periods and lifting patients or equipment.
- Must adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
