Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations in functional activities, self care, daily living, work activities, leisure and play.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to help individuals achieve optimal independence by improving and restoring skill in the above areas.
- Knowledge of different sensory systems and their contribution to our function in daily lives, ability to diagnose malfunction of these systems and design sensory integration programs is necessary.
- Prescribe and train in the use of assistive technology or devices.
- Conduct individual and group-based interventions to improve functional ability.
- Educate and provide training for family members and caregivers on interventions and
- care giving skills.
- Contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and
- organization overall.
- Monitor intervention programmes and review its effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and function as a resource person in integrating
- the occupational therapy objectives into the program.
- Eligibility:
- Hold a recognised qualification in occupational therapy (Graduate).
- Desirable: 1-2 years work experience with people with special needs children, ASD
- and/or other developmental disabilities will be preferred.
