- Record Management:Overseeing the maintenance and organization of both physical and electronic medical records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and readily available when needed.
- Data Entry and Validation:Accurately inputting patient information into electronic health record (EHR) systems and validating data to maintain its integrity.
- Record Retrieval and Release:Facilitating the retrieval of medical records for authorized personnel and external parties, while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
- Compliance and Confidentiality:Ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA and other privacy regulations, as well as internal policies regarding patient confidentiality.
- Quality Assurance:Conducting regular audits of medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards.
- Collaboration:Working with healthcare providers and other staff to ensure proper documentation and efficient record management.
