We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Medical Coding Trainer to join our team. The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in medical coding, preparing students for industry certifications, and ensuring they gain practical skills relevant to healthcare billing and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Prepare training materials, course outlines, assignments, and assessments.
- Teach medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, and coding guidelines.
- Guide students for certifications like CPC, CCS, or CCA.
- Monitor student progress and provide individual support when needed.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in coding practices and compliance standards.
- Conduct mock tests and evaluate student readiness for certification exams.
- Maintain student records and training documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in medical coding and/or training.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Prior teaching/training experience is a plus.
