Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup and Operation:Calibrating, setting up, and starting machines according to production specifications and safety protocols.
- Monitoring & Adjusting:Continuously monitoring machine operations to ensure they are running smoothly and making necessary adjustments for optimal performance and quality.
- Quality Control:Inspecting finished products and machinery parts using precision tools to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Performing routine maintenance, cleaning equipment, identifying potential issues, and making minor repairs to prevent malfunctions and minimize downtime.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate production logs, documenting machine performance, and reporting any defects or issues to supervisors.
- Safety & Compliance:Adhering to all safety rules, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills:Mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Attention to Detail:Keen eye for detail to ensure quality standards are met and to identify even minor issues.
- Problem-Solving:Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems to keep production lines running efficiently.
- Communication:Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with coworkers and report issues to supervisors.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed, often in a fast-paced environment.
- Education/Experience:A high school diploma is typically required, often with technical training or a certificate, and prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
