Job Title: eDiscovery AssociateJob Summary:
The eDiscovery Associate plays a key role in supporting litigation and investigation matters by executing various stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). This includes data identification, collection, processing, analysis, hosting, and document review support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of working collaboratively with legal teams, project managers, and technical staff in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all phases of the eDiscovery process, including data preservation, collection, processing, and document review.
- Work with eDiscovery project managers and consultants to ensure timely execution of project tasks and workflows.
- Assist in preparing data for document review platforms (e.g., Relativity), including uploading, tagging, filtering, and troubleshooting issues.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards throughout the document review lifecycle.
- Assist legal teams in managing hosted review platforms, including user access, document tagging, and privilege logging.
- Help implement case-specific review protocols and communicate workflow guidelines to reviewers.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, legal counsel, IT, review teams) to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Generate and maintain documentation such as chain-of-custody logs, load files, and production logs.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows.
- Stay current on industry tools, technologies, and best practices in eDiscovery and information governance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or data management.
- Familiarity with tools such as Relativity, Nuix, Concordance, LAW, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of the EDRM lifecycle and litigation discovery processes.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience handling large datasets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
