Team Overview
Our Research & Development (R&D) team is the technical talent at the heart of our product suite, overseeing the product development lifecycle from concept to delivery. From engineering to quality assurance to data science, the R&D team ensures our customers seamlessly use our products and can depend on their consistency.
Responsibilities
Description
Powerschool is seeking enthusiastic software development engineers to work on the 4GL Genero platform and contribute towards development and stabilization of their flagship ERP compliance product .
Key responsibilities for the position include
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using 4GL Genero.
- Write efficient SQL queries to interact with SQL Server (2019 or above).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work as part of an Agile SCRUM team in the planning, scoping, estimation and execution of technical solutions
- Utilize JIRA for project management, tracking progress, and resolving issues.
- Adapt to CI/CD practices to automate the deployment of applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring high levels of performance and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop software to support internal initiatives, tools, update framework and application functionality.
- Work within a wide range of new and legacy code and technologies in a mature codebase
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering role.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science or information technology or having an equivalent experience
- Programming Expertise in C#.net, OOPS with strong database SQL knowledge in DDL/DML.
- Prior experience with Genero 4GL
- Good to have – knowledge in typescript or UI frameworks (angular/react etc)
- Working knowledge of Git, Jira and Scrum
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) with preferred experience of working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
