Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lathe Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should be able to operate and maintain manual and/or CNC lathe machines to produce precise components as per the technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and other operations.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
- Select the correct tools, fixtures, and materials required for each job.
- Measure and inspect finished products using instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
- Maintain the lathe machine by performing routine checks and minor maintenance.
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work area.
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet daily targets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a lathe machine operator in a manufacturing setup.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of different materials like steel, aluminum, brass, etc.
- Familiar with measuring instruments and quality checks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CNC lathe (if applicable).
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
- ITI in Turner/Fitter/Machinist or equivalent.
- Working days - 6 days(Monday to Saturday).
- Working Hours - 9 Hours (10am to 7pm)
