Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with senior business leaders and HR teams to implement best practices and programs in Industrial Relations and Human Resources. On a day-to-day basis, you will provide professional guidance on labor relations matters, manage employee and union-related grievances, support the Lead Division HRBP in coordinating key HR initiatives, and facilitate counseling sessions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Position Reports to: Location Manager
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Labour Relations & Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to labour laws, factory rules, and statutory obligations while managing interactions with labour departments, inspectors, and other regulatory bodies.
- Union & Stakeholder Engagement: Identify social trends, legal issues, and union demands to support negotiations and maintain effective relationships with employee representatives and authorities.
- HR & Business Process Support: Implement and optimize labour law and HR processes that align with business goals, supporting managers and employees in policy execution and compliance.
- Learning, Development & Community Relations: Coordinate local L&D programs and establish meaningful community connections to encourage employee development and uphold Corporate Social Responsibility commitments.
Qualifications for the role:
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or MBA in Human Resources/Industrial Relations.
- Relevant Experience: 6–8 years of practical experience in labour or industrial relations within a manufacturing or unionized environment.
- Proficiency in Labour Law: Comprehensive understanding of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance requirements, and industrial dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Government & Community Liaison: Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and local community leaders.
- Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to manage labour-related matters efficiently.
- Local language (Kannada) fluency for effective local engagement.
- Stakeholder Management: Capability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including unions and employee representatives.
