Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Lab Chemist for our DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) Unit. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing raw materials, process samples, and finished products, ensuring quality standards and compliance with industry specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical and physical analysis of iron ore, coal, DRI, sponge iron, and other raw materials.
- Perform proximate & ultimate analysis of coal and related fuels.
- Ensure process quality control by testing samples at different production stages.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as muffle furnace, bomb calorimeter, spectrometer, titration setups, and balances.
- Record and interpret test results, prepare reports, and share findings with production and quality teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards during laboratory operations.
- Assist in R&D activities and support process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, chemicals, and calibration of instruments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
- 1–4 years of experience in a steel/DRI/sponge iron/coal lab preferred.
- Strong knowledge of analytical methods and testing procedures.
- Hands-on experience with coal analysis, DRI testing, and metallurgical lab work.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Safety-conscious and quality-focused mindset.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
