Role Overview:
The Jewellery Merchandiser at Jewelbox will be responsible for planning, selecting, developing, and managing jewellery product ranges in line with brand positioning, customer preferences, and business objectives. The role involves close collaboration with design, retail, and marketing teams to ensure product availability, sales growth, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Planning & Range Development
- Assist in conceptualizing and developing jewellery collections aligned with market trends and brand aesthetics.
- Plan product assortment based on sales data, customer insights, and seasonal requirements.
- Ensure a balance between core designs, fast-moving items, and trend-led pieces.
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels across retail and online platforms.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for timely replenishment.
- Optimize stock rotation to minimize slow-moving items.
- Sales & Performance Analysis
- Track and analyze product/category-wise sales performance.
- Recommend pricing, promotions, and markdowns to maximize profitability.
- Provide regular sales reports and insights to management.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers for sourcing and production.
- Negotiate terms, costs, and timelines to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships for innovation and exclusivity.
- Visual Merchandising & Marketing Support
- Work with retail and visual merchandising teams to create attractive product displays.
- Support marketing campaigns with product inputs and trend forecasts.
- Ensure product launches are aligned with brand calendar and festive seasons.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of jewellery trends, gemstones, and materials.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales and market data.
- Excellent coordination, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Creative eye for design and product curation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, merchandising tools, and ERP systems (preferred).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Jewellery Design, Merchandising, or Business Administration.
- 2–5 years of experience in jewellery merchandising / product management / luxury retail.
- Experience in fine jewellery / diamond jewellery (preferred).
