This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both domestic and international corporate governance and compliance within an MNC environment. You will work closely with our Company Secretary and Legal Operations Head, contributing to key projects and developing practical expertise in statutory obligations, regulatory filings, and global entity management.
Please note: This is a Hybrid role. It is only open for candidates currently residing Mumbai.
- Assist in managing Companies Act, 2013 compliances for Indian entities (Board meetings, filings, statutory registers, resolutions, etc.).
- Handle event-based filings under the Companies Act, 2013 and FEMA.
- Support in handling FEMA compliances related to cross-border transactions, filing of APR, ODI reporting, and filings with RBI.
- Aid in maintaining regulatory and legal records and support in audits and due diligence.
- Exposure to international compliances for entities in US, UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea etc. (such as filings, renewals, and adherence to jurisdiction-specific governance norms).
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments and global teams to streamline compliance operations.
- Maintain and update the digital repository of contracts and legal documents, including execution tools, key contract pointers.
- Generate different kinds of trackers. Track and manage contract renewals, ensuring timely execution.
- Conduct legal research on Indian and global laws, preparing concise reports.
- Assist with ongoing legal projects and cross-functional collaboration.
- Education: Recently completed the Company Secretary (CS) course with 6-9 month Internship completion. Pursuing or having completed an LL.B. would be preferred.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of corporate law, secretarial standards, and statutory regulations (FEMA, Companies Act).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
