Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Infection Trends: Collect and analyze data on healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Track rates and identify potential outbreaks.
- Develop Policies: Create and implement infection control procedures, including hand hygiene, sterilization, and PPE use.
- Train Staff: Educate healthcare workers, support staff, and sometimes patients/families on best practices to reduce infection risks.
- Conduct Rounds & Audits: Visit clinical areas to ensure protocols are followed, observe hand hygiene compliance, and correct improper practices on the spot.
- Handle Outbreaks: Investigate any rise in infection cases, implement containment strategies, and coordinate with public health authorities.
- Ensure Compliance: Make sure all infection control activities meet local and national regulations and reporting requirements.
Skills:
Qualification : minimum graduation Bsc Nursing
Registration Must
Clinical experience, ideally in critical care, infectious diseases, or quality improvement.
Familiarity with infection control standards and epidemiology principles.
Strong communication, training, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
