Job Purpose:
To operate the Hydra crane safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and shifting of materials within the plant or construction site while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Hydra crane for safe lifting, shifting, and placement of heavy materials or equipment.
- Conduct daily inspection of the vehicle (brakes, hydraulic system, lights, horn, oil levels, etc.).
- Avoid overloading and follow proper lifting limits and safety practices.
- Coordinate with supervisors for load positioning and movement.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team immediately.
- Maintain a daily logbook of crane usage and condition.
- Comply with company safety rules and wear all required PPE.
- Park the crane in the designated area after use and ensure it is safely secured.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety drills when required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8th or 10th grade pass.
- Valid Heavy Vehicle / Hydra Operating License (as per local authority norms).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating Hydra cranes.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Skilled in Hydra crane operation and load handling.
- Good understanding of safety norms and load capacity.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physically fit, alert, and responsible.
- Teamwork and communication.
Working Conditions:
- Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather, dust, and industrial environment.
- Overtime or shift work may be required depending on site operations.
