Key Responsibilities of a Housekeeping Supervisor:
- Supervision and Management:
- Assign tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure they are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff on cleaning methods, equipment use, and safety procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Manage schedules and cover absences.
- Address guest complaints and issues related to housekeeping.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Inspect rooms, hallways, lobbies, and common areas for cleanliness and order.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the facility.
- Report maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
- Inventory and Supplies:
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Ensure adequate stock levels to avoid shortages.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with staff and guests.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
