Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in both guest rooms and the hotel's restaurant/dining areas. This includes cleaning tables after guests leave, clearing plates, and maintaining an overall clean and welcoming environment for both rooms and dining spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Rooms & Public Areas:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned public areas.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish amenities according to hotel standards.
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and clean windows, mirrors, and fixtures.
- Report any maintenance issues or room damage to supervisors.
- Handle guest requests promptly and respectfully.
Restaurant / Dining Area Duties:
- Clear and clean tables immediately after guests leave.
- Collect used dishes, cutlery, and glasses and transport them to the kitchen.
- Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and surrounding areas.
- Re-set tables with clean linen, cutlery, and necessary items for the next guests.
- Sweep and mop floors during and after service hours.
- Ensure trash is removed and bins are cleaned and replaced regularly.
- Assist with basic restaurant setup or cleaning tasks as assigned.
