Role Overview:
The Geotechnical Reporting Engineer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing test reports for soil, rock, and foundation materials tested in the geotechnical laboratory. This role requires accuracy, technical understanding of geotechnical parameters, and timely delivery of reports as per client and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and prepare geotechnical test reports (soil, rock, aggregate, foundation materials, etc.) in line with national and international standards (IS, ASTM, BS, etc.).
- Interpret laboratory test results and present findings in a clear, concise, and professional format.
- Coordinate with laboratory technicians/engineers to ensure test data is accurate and complete.
- Ensure reports are delivered within the project timeline and meet client requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of reports for internal and external audits.
- Review and proofread reports to eliminate errors or inconsistencies.
- Communicate with clients/consultants for clarifications regarding results or report formats.
- Support the quality management system (QMS) of the laboratory by ensuring compliance with ISO/ NABL standards.
- Assist in data entry, analysis, and preparation of summary tables, graphs, and charts as required.
