Chefouse is redefining the future of food manufacturing in India with a growing network of small-scale, high-efficiency food production units. As we expand across regions, the Founder's Office plays a crucial role in translating vision into execution.
Role Overview:
This is a high-impact cross-functional generalist role within the Founder's Office. The person will act as the execution arm of the founder, ensuring that projects, departments, and strategic initiatives are running as per plan — with special focus on project execution (e.g., construction of units) and cross-departmental accountability.
The ideal candidate is a natural enabler, who thrives in ambiguity, can work across teams, push things forward without authority, and be the eyes and ears of the founder across operational fronts.
Key Responsibilities:
1 . Execution Oversight & Cross-Team Alignment
- Ensure all departments (Sales, Marketing, Production, Customer Care, etc.) follow through on their tasks and priorities
- Coordinate weekly progress check-ins and escalation follow-ups
- Maintain visibility on KPIs, task trackers, and timelines
- Act as a bridge between the Founder and Department Heads
2 . Department Progress Analysis & Reporting
- Track and review weekly progress of each department against their plans and KPIs
- Maintain a central dashboard summarizing progress, pending actions, and key decisions
- Share weekly updates with the Founder and assist in driving structured review meetings
3 . Project Monitoring
- Oversee timelines, vendor performance, material delivery, and execution quality for ongoing projects (e.g., new unit construction)
- Ensure tasks are followed through as per plan; highlight bottlenecks early
- Track daily/weekly milestones with vendors, internal teams, and consultants
4 . Task Management & Accountability
- Push team members to close action items on time — politely but firmly
- Maintain project dashboards or Kanban boards (Notion, Trello, Excel)
- Flag underperformance or process breakdowns across teams
5 . Process Facilitator
- Step in to lead stand-ups, review meetings, or process mapping sessions
- Keep things moving in moments of ambiguity or inertia
- Support department heads with structure and follow-through
6 . People Coordination
- Build strong working relationships across teams
- Support the founder in identifying people issues, misalignment, or coaching moments
- Step in temporarily across teams when needed to fill execution gaps
What Success Looks Like:
- Projects are delivered on time and per quality benchmarks
- Departmental OKRs/KPIs are consistently met
- Bottlenecks are identified early and resolved quickly
- The Founder is freed from daily execution stress and informed with clear updates
- Teams feel supported but held accountable
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in general management, operations, or project coordination
- Strong execution skills: gets things done without constant supervision
- High ownership, initiative, and follow-up
- Excellent people skills: can communicate across hierarchies and push without friction
- Comfortable with project tracking tools and collaborative documentation (Excel, Notion, Trello)
- Flexible mindset – willing to adapt to emerging priorities
- Startup experience is a plus
- An engineering background is a plus
