A restaurant field trainer develops and delivers in-person training programs for new and existing staff across various locations, covering operational procedures, new product rollouts, and customer service standards to ensure consistent brand execution. Key responsibilities include creating and updating training materials, assessing training effectiveness, providing operational support for new restaurant openings, and acting as a brand ambassador to cultivate a positive culture. A strong understanding of restaurant operations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to travel are crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery:Conducts hands-on, in-restaurant training sessions for staff at all levels, including new hires, management, and existing teams, ensuring operational standards and best practices are followed.
- Program Development:Creates, updates, and implements training programs and materials (e.g., handbooks, e-learning modules) tailored for different skills and brand initiatives.
- New Restaurant Openings:Coordinates and executes training programs for new store openings, providing on-site support and resolving issues to ensure a successful launch.
- Performance Assessment:Evaluates training programs and staff performance through feedback, metrics, and observations, providing reports to management on areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Standards:Ensures that all operations and training adhere to company standards, brand specifications, health, safety, and governmental regulations.
- Brand Ambassadorship:Serves as a positive representation of the brand, building strong relationships with franchise partners and their teams to promote a consistent company culture.
- Needs Assessment:Visits locations to identify knowledge, skills, and ability gaps within staff and management, informing future training strategies.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Restaurant Operations Knowledge:Strong understanding of fast-paced food service, including food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:Excellent presentation, verbal, and interpersonal skills for effective training and relationship-building.
