Position Overview
Medprime Technologies is looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team in Thane. The ideal candidate will be responsible for service, install, calibrate, and maintain advanced medical equipment to ensure peak performance and compliance with industry standards. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, good communication skills, and a readiness to travel for on-site service support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and ensure proper functionality of new medical devices.
- Improve processes to optimize equipment use and production efficiency.
- Identify and report unsafe operations to the Manager.
- Establish and follow safety and environmental protocols.
- Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities.
- Perform maintenance tasks and deliver customer support.
- Diagnose product issues and carry out necessary repairs.
- Write clear and accurate service reports post-diagnostics.
- Respond promptly to service calls and execute necessary repairs.
- Travel for on-site service as required.
- Develop and apply best practices to enhance equipment quality and reliability.
- Investigate technical problems, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Complete tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, or Turner (mandatory)
- Minimum 1 year or completed apprenticeship in a relevant field
- Good English communication skills to engage with clients from South India
- Strong hands-on skills in equipment Service, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
- Physically fit and capable of handling fieldwork
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
