Job Title:- Fabrication fitter
A fabrication fitter is responsible for assembling and constructing metal frameworks or components, typically in manufacturing. Their work involves various tasks to ensure that metal structures are fabricated and fitted to precise specifications. Here are the key responsibilities of a fabrication fitter:
1) Reading and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings: Fabrication fitters must understand and work from detailed plans, engineering drawings, or schematics to nsure correct fabrication and fitting of parts.
2) Cutting, shaping, and forming metal components: They use hand tools, power tools, and cutting machines (e.g., grinders, shears, plasma cutters) to cut and shape metal parts according to required dimensions.
3) Assembly and fitting: Fabrication fitters assemble metal components or structures by welding, bolting, or using other fastening methods. They ensure that parts fit together properly and meet specified tolerances.
4) Inspecting and testing: Fabrication fitters must ensure that all components are properly assembled and meet quality standards. They often inspect for defects and verify that the final structure meets design specifications.
5) Operating machinery and equipment: They operate various machinery, including drills, saws, presses, and bending machines, to fabricate and fit parts.
