Job Description: The required candidate needs to be well versed in aerodynamics, propulsion and structural engineering domain with focus on development of test plans, rigs and data reduction of independent and designs provided from cross-teams. The role of the candidate would be to pursue three major streams of action- 1. Validation of numerical simulations as performed by other design teams in a cost and time-effective but rigorous manner and 2. Be updated with requirements and updates as sought by DGCA and develop plans and execute methodologies as confirming to the means of compliance 3. Pursue independent experiments (thought, numerical and experiments) in order for further refinement of the existing design and to enable brain-storming amongst other teams. The candidate must be able to provide new lines of thought and propose novel validation methodologies to improve and modify existing lines of thought and design. The skillset desired from the candidate are-1. Technical skills') Good mathematical proficiency, ability to be comfortable with differential and integral equations, statistics and linear algebra at least) Rigorous knowledge of kinematics and dynamics2. Programing skills: Object Oriented programing and data visualization
The candidate should possess scientific temper to be ground argument/ claims in the light of equations and well defined experiments alone and not on any subjective claims. She/he must be able to express every thought with a corresponding equation. Location : Chennai
