Job Description
Key activities:
- Post Order Engineering: P&ID, BOM. Datasheets for instruments, valves, PSVs, filters, seal gas heaters & boosters, electrical & instrument control modules, etc.
- Perform detailed engineering calculation, Sizing & Selection of above components. Preparation of Control Narratives, Instrument wiring diagrams, instrument hook ups, logic diagram, cause & effect diagram. Documentation Index for MDR/SDRL/VDRL. Preparation of Quality Plan / ITP, Installation, Operation & Maintenance Manual
- Review supplier quote and perform technical alignment. Compile complete engineering documents and deliver to manufacturing plants
- Review manufacturing drawings (GAD, Frame, ISO, etc.) and ensure that it is complying to the project specifications and modifications.
- Pre-Order Engineering: Planning & co-ordination of all techno-commercial activities related to Filtration products & Gas Seal Support Systems. Analysis of customer/ project specifications. Selection of Instrumentation /valves/ Filters / fluid control system products and related ancillaries, Filters/ Seal Support System Sizing for various applications. Preparation of quotations and proposals for the products selected. Creating processes and procedures, documentation and creating a knowledge bank.
- Global Engineering Standardization: Standardization of P&ID, Symbols & Schematic. Prepare standard Engineering tools, work instructions, process flow charts and project charters for process improvements. BOM creation, production drawing/part number creation, implementation and ongoing technical product support. • Support the field organization in the development of training materials, technical papers and other technical product support.
- Execute Kaizens and A3 projects as a part of continuous improvement.
EHS Requirements:
- Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon company needs.
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals!
- Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook
- Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
- Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements
Qualifications
- A Bachler or master’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering discipline (Chemical / Instrument) with more than 5 years of experience in engineering, or similar functions.
- Hands on Experience in Hysys/Unisim or equivalent process simulators. Working knowledge of Instrument datasheets, wiring and ASME pressure vessel Code.
- Application knowledge in the field of API plans for pump seal system or Lube oil Consoles or Oil Lubricating Systems or Pre-jacking systems, HP-LP systems or Filtration units etc, for applications in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Steel, Chemical industries, etc.
- Knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation selection and requirements for Hazardous Area Classification and Mechanical Protection
- Knowledge about API 692, API 614 & API 682 will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills to explain engineering decisions and drive a coordinated action plan.
- Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
