Honeywell Internal This is Sr Engineer position in PAS LOB under PMT-HPS for Industrial Safety Instrumented Systems - Verification & Validation Team.
Candidate should have at least 4 - 8 years’ experience with a background in Instrumentation or Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
Skills Required:
Candidate is required to have Knowledge on Functional Safety in Process Industries and its applications. He /She should have a strong understanding of IEC61508, IEC61511, IEC 61131-2, IEC 61131-3, NFPA and FM Standards.
He/She should have knowledge on ESD or F&G or High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS) or BMS Systems. He/She should preferably be TuV Certified for Functional Safety Engineer.
He/She should have knowledge and hands on Experience on DCS Systems, its communication interfaces etc.
The Candidate should have knowledge on the overall Engineering lifecycle of a Safety System.
The Candidate should have experience in Project Engineering, Commissioning and Maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems such as Honeywell Safety Manager, FSC, HIMA, Triconex, ABB Safety Systems. experience in FAT/SAT of Safety Systems is preferred.
The Candidate should have a strong experience in programming of FBD and other languages described in IEC61131-3 standard. He /She should have a good experience in evaluating the Engineering logic against the C&E Matrix during FAT/SAT Phases of Engineering.
Candidate should have experience working in DCS and ESD systems. He /She should have hands on working experience in configuring the PLC, Safety, DCS systems in either commissioning or test environments.
He should be able to differentiate between a Process Safety and Process Control Requirement.
He/ she should have sound knowledge of different communication protocols for third party interfaces and for field device integration such as HART, Profisafe etc.
Candidate with experience working in Process Industrial Control preferably Honeywell Experion DCS, Honeywell TDC or SCADA solution is preferred.
He / She should have good working experience in product testing. experience in test automation tools like Python, Selenium etc will be added advantage.
Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as, Jira would be an advantage
Should have a Strong Logical reasoning and Analytical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. He / She will be responsible for Independent Test Execution of various Functionalities and Features of the product
2. He/She will be responsible for independently Setting up the Test Environments and develop Traps to capture defects
3. He / She will be responsible for designing test strategies to cover non-functional requirements in the program
4. Candidate will need to ensure to use of automation & simulations defined wherever applicable that should have in depth test coverage as well as reduce cycle time
5. Candidate should have a drive for Productivity improvement and DOE techniques to take intelligent risks without compromising Quality
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors in Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 4-8 years’ experience in the Industrial Process Control specifically in the areas of Industrial Process Safety as in Emergency Shutdown, Fire & Gas and Burner Management Systems
