Job Title: Primary & Junior School Educator
Job Summary:
The Primary & Junior School Educator is responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons that promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young learners. The role involves planning, implementing, and assessing an interactive and inclusive curriculum while fostering a safe and positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Implementation:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons based on the curriculum and educational standards.
- Use creative teaching strategies to make learning engaging and effective.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs of students.
2. Classroom Management:
- Maintain a disciplined yet nurturing classroom environment.
- Establish clear rules and routines to promote respect and responsibility.
- Address behavioral challenges constructively and implement school policies effectively.
3. Student Development:
- Foster the cognitive, emotional, and social growth of students.
- Support children in building critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
- Monitor and document student progress through assessments and report cards.
4. Communication:
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings to share updates on student performance and behavior.
- Collaborate with school administrators and other teachers to enhance educational outcomes.
5. Professional Growth:
- Stay updated with current teaching practices, tools, and technologies.
- Participate in professional development sessions, workshops, and training.
6. Additional Responsibilities:
- Organize co-curricular and extracurricular activities like sports, arts, or cultural events.
- Supervise students during lunch breaks, field trips, and other school activities.
- Assist in creating lesson materials, visual aids, and classroom decor.
