Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Treatment:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and initiate immediate treatment as required.
- Take detailed medical histories from patients to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- ICU and Inpatient Care:
- Perform detailed rounds of ICU patients, closely monitoring their condition.
- Monitor the vital signs of inpatients, and promptly communicate any abnormal parameters or required diagnostic investigations to the senior doctor.
- Documentation and Records:
- Accurately document each patient's condition, treatment, and progress.
- Ensure that all patient records are completed and maintained in the electronic medical records system.
- Consultant Communication:
- Inform consultants about patient admissions, abnormal reports, and progress to ensure coordinated care.
- Carry out all orders from consultants efficiently and without delay.
- Emergency Management:
- Implement emergency management procedures at your discretion, including attending Code Blue emergencies.
- Treatment of OPD Patients:
- Provide treatment to non-complicated outpatient department (OPD) patients as needed.
- Coordination with Paramedical Staff:
- Ensure that orders are effectively communicated and carried out by paramedical staff.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Complete all required documentation and maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Medical Degree: MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution with due registration with Karnataka Medical Council
- Experience: Fresher-5 years of experience. Experience in a psychiatric or general medical setting is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment and treatment.
- Ability to manage emergencies and provide immediate care.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in maintaining electronic medical records and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make informed decisions.
