Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Ambulance Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for patients and emergency medical staff. The candidate should be able to respond quickly to emergency calls, drive safely under pressure, and assist paramedics or medical staff when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the ambulance safely to and from scenes of emergencies, hospitals, or other destinations as required.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, following the fastest and safest routes.
- Assist with loading and unloading patients, using stretchers and other equipment safely.
- Ensure the ambulance is clean, fueled, and stocked with medical supplies and equipment.
- Perform regular vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues or necessary maintenance.
- Comply with all traffic laws and medical transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel, and any incidents.
- Provide support to emergency medical technicians (EMTs) or paramedics as requested.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and other emergency response personnel.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for ambulance driving (e.g., LMV, HMV, or as per local authority).
- Certification in first aid or basic life support (preferred).
- Prior experience as a professional driver, preferably in an emergency or medical setting.
- Familiarity with local roads and the ability to navigate under stress.
- Excellent driving record with no recent violations.
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Physically fit and able to assist with patient handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to traumatic situations, illness, and all weather conditions.
- Must wear appropriate safety and medical gear as required.
