Job Summary:
We are hiring a Truck Dispatch Coordinator Teacher to train students for careers in the trucking and logistics industry. This role involves teaching dispatch operations, route planning, load management, driver communication, and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on dispatch experience and the ability to explain concepts in clear, easy-to-understand language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach students how to plan and assign truck routes for timely deliveries.
- Show how to use dispatching and load board software effectively.
- Explain freight booking, load matching, and rate negotiation.
- Train on driver scheduling, tracking, and customer communication.
- Introduce DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and safety compliance.
- Provide real-life dispatch scenarios and problem-solving exercises.
- Guide students in handling emergencies such as delays, breakdowns, or weather issues.
- Teach recordkeeping, trip reports, and documentation procedures.
- Help students develop professional skills for working with drivers, shippers, and brokers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a truck dispatcher, dispatch coordinator, or in logistics.
- Strong knowledge of trucking operations, freight markets, and compliance rules.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach and simplify complex tasks for beginners.
- Comfortable using computers, dispatch systems, and online tools.
- Patience, professionalism, and a student-focused attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching, coaching, or training experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian trucking regulations.
- Bilingual skills in English and Punjabi
