We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Product Design Manager to join our Wealth Services team. This role is located in Chennai or Pune.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinate activities as needed.
- Provide comprehensive consultation to management and staff related to user research, usability testing, surveys, interviews, work studies, and heuristic evaluations.
- Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams.
- Define and review new and modified user personas.
- Participate in and provide guidance for the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules.
- Lead the implementation of visual styles that support platform branding to increase user effectiveness.
- Consult on and interpret user feedback and insights to improve the user experience.
- Serve as reviewer of usability activities and artifacts to ensure software applications meet customer expectations for use.
- Provide UX expertise to the product definition and evaluation process utilizing multiple sources of information (field work, interviews, internet, intranet, market data/literature).
- Act as principal consult and lead the creation and updating of user interface and visual design guidelines and standards.
- Advocate for user-centered design and the value of standardized design systems across the firm and facilitate training for groups outside the UX team.
- Ensure that the developed/revised product achieves the user's specified goals by establishing user-centered analysis, design, best practices, and standards.
- Lead a range of complex projects that dictate team success, with internal and cross-functional outcomes requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of variable factors.
- Build strong relationships with people on their immediate team and across the company, knowing key stakeholders and peers to understand the connection of their own work. Create formal networks with key decision makers and cross-functional partners.
- As subject matter expert, actively fine-tune your expertise in the field and regularly use professional concepts to resolve complex issues facing the team and occasionally cross-functional partners.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field.
- Extensive experience in product design, including user research, interaction design, and visual design, with expertise in at least one area.
- Proven ability to lead design projects and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with design systems and user-centered design methodologies.
