Job Description (Video Editor)

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our creative team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in video editing software, a sharp eye for visual storytelling, and the ability to adapt content across multiple formats and platforms. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skill, and collaboration to ensure high-quality, impactful, and timely video delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver engaging videos for brand, marketing, and communication purposes.
- Adapt content into multiple crops, aspect ratios, and sizes (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, etc.) for platforms such as social media, web, and internal channels.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to align videos with creative direction and business goals.
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, tone, and consistency across all outputs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong workflow discipline, file management, and version control.
- Communicate proactively with Project Managers to align on timelines and expectations.
- Participate in project kick-off calls for clear understanding of requirements.
- Work closely with the local and global video production teams to streamline processes and adopt new tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends, editing techniques, and emerging software.
Primary Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Media, Film, Animation, Design, or related field.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in video editing and production.
- Strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating versatility across formats.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of video production workflows (file formats, codecs, resolutions, delivery specs).
- Advanced skills in After Effects compositing, text animation, and light VFX.
- Ability to version and export content across multiple formats.
- Experience in sound design, color correction, and motion graphics.
- Excellent sense of storytelling, pacing, transitions, and detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and tight timelines.
- Problem-solving and ownership mindset.
Good-to-Have
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with 3D, animation, or advanced motion graphics.
- Understanding digital marketing video requirements (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Knowledge of branding and visual identity.
- Exposure to international language adaptations in video.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical production issues.
Value-Adds
- Experience with camera handling, lighting, and basic production setup.
- Knowledge of video compression, archiving, and asset management.
- Ability to suggest creative concepts for campaigns.
- Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Jira, etc.).
