We're looking for a passionate analyst to provide valuable analytics and decision support to Expedia's content product. This position will primarily partner with various teams in product, data, engineering, strategy, and other business units to optimize traffic, reviews collection, content coverage, and other metrics to improve the user experience.
This is a mid-level individual contributor role partnering with Reviews Product Managers within the Content Platform organization. In this role, the candidate will contribute to many aspects of product development, including understanding user behavior, A/B testing product recommendations, opportunity identification, and problem-solving.
What You Will Do:
Work with multiple stakeholders, manage analytics projects, and operate within a community of analysts—sharing findings, wins, and methodologies.
Own the end-to-end process of designing and running experiments (A/B tests); proactively identify opportunities and recommend new features for test-and-learn.
Contribute to tracking measures of success and supporting metrics; build accurate and easy-to-consume dashboards/reports.
Collaborate with product teams in goal setting, product performance reviews, and strategy planning.
Structure problems, extract and analyze data, and present findings to corporate leadership and internal stakeholders.
Apply your knowledge of Python, R, or any other major ML programming language to generate insights and solve business problems using machine learning.
Who You Are:
3+ years of experience in data mining, statistical modeling, and business analysis, with at least a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
Expertise in working with large datasets and proficiency in SQL and Excel.
Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
Skilled in performing statistical analysis, designing and interpreting A/B experiments, and using quasi-experimentation techniques (e.g., pre-post, causal impact).
Intermediate proficiency in Python programming.
Able to build basic models (e.g., linear/logistic regression, clustering) and understand the relevant assumptions.
Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a plus.
Capable of presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Able to work proactively, prioritize tasks, and lead through conflicting demands in a fluid environment.
