Role: Data Scientist – Credit & Risk Analytics (2 Years Exp.)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist with 2+ years of experience to join our fast-
growing NBFC. You’ll play a critical role in developing models and data-driven systems that
drive credit underwriting, collections strategy, portfolio monitoring, and fraud risk
detection.
You will work closely with product, credit, risk, and technology teams to design, build, and
deploy analytics solutions in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
Education: Bachelor or above in Engineering / Mathematics /Statistics/ Computer

Tools: SQL and Python
Technology: Cloud based platforms like Azure, Distributed database like HDFS
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit & Risk Modeling :
a. Build and maintain credit scorecards, risk-based pricing models, and early
warning systems.
b. Design segmentation and behavioral models using repayment, bureau, and
alternate data.
c. Develop PD/EAD/LGD models for Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provisioning.
2. Business Intelligence & Monitoring:
a. Create and maintain dashboards on loan performance, delinquency trends,
collections efficiency, and customer funnel metrics.
b. Build daily/monthly MI reports and KPI trackers for business & risk
committees.
3. Data Engineering & Automation
a. Write efficient SQL/Python code to clean, transform, and merge data from
multiple systems (LMS, CRM, Collections, Bureau).
b. Work with tech to integrate ML models into production APIs or workflows.
4. Strategy & Decision Support:
a. Support credit policy formulation by analyzing bureau trends, customer
behavior, and campaign responses.
b. Analyze collections efficiency, field executive performance, and provide
actionable insights.
5. Documentation & Governance:
a. Maintain thorough documentation for models, assumptions, data sources,
and limitations.
b. Ensure model governance, versioning, and reproducibility.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. 2+ years of hands-on experience in a data science or risk analytics role (preferably in
BFSI/NBFC/Fintech).
2. Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power
BI/Tableau).
3. Knowledge of credit bureau data, DPD buckets, underwriting rules, and NBFC
compliance requirements.
4. Experience working with structured datasets from LOS/LMS, CRM, and field
collections data.
5. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and presentation skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
