The Product Research & Development (PRD) organisation strives to discover, develop, and deliver creative medicines to patients through the development and commercialization of insulins, small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, novel therapeutic proteins, peptides, oligonucleotide therapies and gene therapy systems. This organization is a multidisciplinary group that works collaboratively with therapeutic business units and manufacturing to deliver the incredibly exciting Lilly clinical portfolio to patients around the world. The Lilly Capability Centre India (LCCI) located in Bengaluru India is a strategic investment made by Lilly to attract top talent from the vibrant academic and professional environment in India and deploy them to develop and enable critical capabilities for Lilly. The LCCI group in India houses a PRD team that works closely with the PRD team in Indianapolis in enabling the delivery of Lilly’s portfolio.
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Power Platform Expert (PowerApps, Power BI (or Tableau, Spotfire, etc.), etc.) with strong Data Analysis capabilities to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Power BI, PowerApps as well as analysing complex data sets to uncover actionable insights. Candidate should be capable of Identifying opportunities where data analytics can enhance and accelerate decision-making, thereby creating, and executing the plan to answer the business question.
The ideal candidate is passionate about turning data into information, information into insight & visualization, and insight into business decisions with ability to communicate the results of analysis in an effective manner to stakeholders to drive action.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI based on business needs. Design and develop intuitive and responsive Canvas apps with a focus on exceptional user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), statistical analysis, and root-cause investigation to support business strategy.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
- Connect and transform data from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, cloud services) into usable Power BI models.
- Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.
- Develop DAX measures and Power Query (M) logic for dynamic reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity in all reporting outputs.
- Provide support and training to business users on Power BI dashboards and self-service BI usage.
- Stay current on Power BI features and evolving data visualization and analysis best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (especially Power BI and Power Apps) or Data Visualization tools like Tableau/ Spotfire/ Smart Sheets; and Data Analysis.
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M language), and Power BI Service (publishing, scheduling, sharing).
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL & SQL Server and working with relational databases.
- Hands-on experience in data wrangling, data cleaning, and transforming large datasets. Ability to develop Power Apps applications capable of handling large datasets (2000+ rows) efficiently.
- Manage full Power Platform app lifecycle, including solution development, versioning, packaging, and deployment across multiple environments using Solutions.
- Set up and configure Power Platform environments and data gateways to securely connect to on-premises and cloud databases and external applications.
- Ability to tell a compelling data story through visualizations and dashboards.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with BI, data governance, security roles, and row-level security (RLS) in Power BI & PowerApps.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Azure Data Services, Power Automate, or Python/R for advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
- Certification in Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., PL-400, PL-600, PL-300).
- Knowledge of industry KPIs relevant to Drug Development/ Pharma/ Healthcare.
