Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, control, and forecast project costs across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Support development and continuous updates of the Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimate.
Track project budgets and commitments against actual expenditures, highlighting variances and risks.
Collaborate with procurement and contracts to ensure accurate cost capture and forecasting of purchase orders and subcontracts.
Participate in weekly and monthly cost reviews with site and corporate project controls teams.
Provide detailed cost reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor change orders, claims, and trends that may affect the overall TIC.
Validate field progress and performance against cost and schedule baselines.
Interface with planning/scheduling and quantity surveying to ensure integrated cost and schedule reporting.
Assist with earned value management (EVM), productivity analysis, and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, client reporting requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Experience in cost engineering, ideally on major construction and/or mining projects.
Strong understanding of Total Installed Cost (TIC) methodologies and project controls processes.
Proficiency with cost control software such as EcoSys, Prism, SAP, or Oracle Primavera (P6).
Advanced Excel skills for custom cost modeling and reporting.
Familiarity with earned value management and construction progress measurement.
Experience working in remote or site-based project environments.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
