Job Overview:
Star Sea Management is seeking a motivated and organized individual for the role of Trainee – Coordination & Operations. This role is ideal for freshers looking to build a career in the maritime industry. You will be trained to manage both client and crew coordination activities, handle documentation, and support day-to-day operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with seafarers for document collection and verification
- Maintain updated databases of crew for all ranks
- Liaise with clients/shipping companies for crew requirements and deployment
- Prepare and manage biodata, joining documents, and contract paperwork
- Track document validity, visa status, and availability of seafarers
- Follow up with crew for joining schedules, medicals, and other formalities
- Assist with client communication, email coordination, and record keeping
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain reports and share regular updates with management
Requirements:
- Good English communication (written and spoken)
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills
- Basic computer knowledge (Google Sheets, Docs, email, etc.)
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn industry-specific processes (training provided)
- Freshers welcome – no prior experience required
