We are looking for a highly organized and creative Content Strategist to develop and manage content plans that drive business growth. This role will bridge the gap between creative vision and execution—aligning strategy with brand voice, ensuring cross-team collaboration, and delivering content that engages and converts.
Key Responsibilities1. Develop Content Strategy
- Create high-level content plans aligned with business and marketing goals.
- Identify and define key content pillars, formats, and distribution channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
- Align content with brand voice, target audience, and the buyer’s journey.
- Research trends and competitor content to keep strategies relevant and fresh.
- Study client personas and pain points to guide content direction.
2. Audience & Market Research
- Research trending topics, industry pain points, and high-engagement opportunities.
- Use insights from Reddit, Twitter, Quora, Google Trends, TikTok, etc.
- Trend Scouting: Identify high-performing content formats in the niche.
- Idea Backstock: Maintain a list of reliable, entertaining, and educational content ideas.
- Platform-Specific Formats: Tailor strategies per platform (e.g., Instagram vs. LinkedIn vs. YouTube).
3. Scripting & Creative Direction
- Guide video editors, UGC creators, and designers on creative vision.
- Write visual briefs covering on-screen text, transitions, emojis, and timing.
- Maintain clear messaging, tone, and objectives for each piece of content.
- Ensure final outputs match brand strategy, tone, and goals.
4. Content Repurposing & Caption Writing
- Adapt content for multiple platforms (captions, CTAs, hashtags).
- Write captions with hooks, storytelling, and proper structure.
- Suggest hashtags when needed.
5. Collaborate Across Departments
With Media Buyers / Paid Ads Team
- Align organic and paid content strategies.
- Strategize high-performing hooks and creatives.
- Track content performance based on ROI, not just vanity metrics.
With Video Editors
- Provide creative briefs, visual metaphors, and storyboard help.
- Review edits to ensure they match the vision.
- Provide detailed video briefs: scripts, tone, location, background, wardrobe, etc.
- Send reference samples (videos, TikToks, reels).
- Review raw footage, give time-coded feedback, and request edits for clarity, timing, and impact.
- Ensure brand voice and visual consistency across all videos.
With UGC Creators
- Give delivery direction (tone, pacing, emphasis).
- Provide reference content and trends to model.
- Review raw footage and offer actionable feedback.
- Ensure consistent tone, style, and branding.
With Graphic Designers
- Provide written structure, mood boards, and brand direction.
- Set visual hierarchy for key elements (CTA, headline).
- Give feedback to refine designs (color, typography, imagery).
- Maintain brand consistency across all visuals.
6. Project Management
- Send clear deliverables and deadlines.
- Flag bottlenecks and delays in content production.
- Coordinate approvals and feedback across departments.
- Ensure all final assets meet strategy before publishing.
- Assign ownership of tasks and ensure follow-through.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in content strategy for social media (B2B and/or B2C).
- Strong understanding of storytelling, content formats, and platform algorithms.
- Ability to write compelling hooks, CTAs, and scripts.
- Proficient in giving creative direction and feedback.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with analytics tools to measure content ROI.
