Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-driven Compliance Officer to support and enhance the compliance framework of our Insurance division. This role is pivotal in ensuring our operations comply with Australian regulatory obligations including those governed by ASIC, APRA, AFCA, and other relevant industry codes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving compliance audits, risk assessments, and policy adherence while supporting the business to operate with integrity and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret relevant regulatory requirements and changes (e.g., ASIC, APRA, AFCA, Privacy Act, Insurance Contracts Act) affecting insurance operations.
- Conduct regular internal audits, control testing, and risk assessments across underwriting, claims, and distribution functions.
- Identify, investigate, and report compliance risks, breaches, or incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain and enhance the compliance monitoring plan, breach register, and risk control matrices.
- Support the design, implementation, and periodic review of compliance policies and procedures.
- Liaise with business units to ensure understanding and adoption of compliance obligations.
- Assist in preparing regulatory submissions and audit responses.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness programs across the insurance teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the compliance management system.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Commerce, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in a compliance, audit, or risk role within the Australian insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory bodies and frameworks such as ASIC, APRA, AFCA, and The Privacy Act 1988.
- Familiarity with general insurance operations, products, and distribution channels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ethical judgment.
Preferred Certifications:
- LLB, LLM, or certifications like CFE, CIA, IRM, or IRDAI compliance-related credentials.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
