Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Cloud Kitchen Chef to join our team and oversee the preparation and execution of meals in a delivery-focused kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in working efficiently without a dine-in setup, maintaining high food quality, and adapting to fast-paced, tech-driven operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes as per the cloud kitchen menu and standard recipes.
- Ensure all food items are prepared, portioned, and presented in a timely and consistent manner.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, complying with all food safety and sanitation standards (FSSAI guidelines preferred).
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflows during peak delivery hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure stock availability.
- Handle packaging and labelling of food items accurately for delivery.
- Assist in creating or updating recipes and improving operational efficiency for delivery-based services.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly and safely.
- Minimize food wastage through proper storage and preparation techniques.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a cloud kitchen or high-volume delivery-based setup.
- Familiarity with modern kitchen equipment and digital order management systems (e.g., POS, order aggregator platforms).
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with multiple Kerala Cuisines.
- Previous experience in a startup or tech-enabled kitchen environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and cost control.
