Job Description
We are looking for a Cloud Database Administrator . This position will be full-time and Onsite Gurugram.
What You’ll Do
Provision Postgres/MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
Managing and Administering Cloud based relational Database solutions.
Strong skills in Snowflake administration are expected.
Have strong experience on configuring and troubleshooting of primary/replica configurations in clustered and non-clustered environment.
Data migration from on-premises databases to Cloud based database platforms.
Design data models based on requirements/SRS/HLD/LLDs using tools like ERWIN etc.
Ability to create ERDs.
Clarity w.r.t Conceptual, Logical & Physical data models.
Be a contributor to the database Projects team.
Design & Implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Solutions for database systems.
Production Support model on call basis for critical incident handling and emergency support (24X7).
Strong experience in database administration and production support tasks including Replication, SQL Optimization & Tuning, Monitoring, Backup/Recovery, Troubleshooting and Database Security on large Database environments.
Exposure to AWS technology Stacks with experience in provisioning.
Experience in Performance Tuning and troubleshooting complex database issues.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, implementing proactive measures to mitigate these within the scope.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in IT, or Equivalent.
At least 6 years of experience as Database Administrator.
Postgres Database Administration on cloud preferably AWS Aurora.
Snowflake administration.
Data modelling using tools like Erwin.
Desired Skills
MySQL Database Administration.
Oracle Database Administration.
Exposure to SQL & PL/SQL, shell scripting etc.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
