Overview:
As the Centre Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our preschool and day care centre, ensuring a warm, nurturing, and dynamic environment for children, staff, and families alike. You’ll oversee everything from administrative duties to staff management while championing an engaging and inclusive curriculum that meets the highest standards of care and education. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the role will also involve partial daycare teaching duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Centre Coordinator, you will be responsible for -
Admissions Management (In Absence of center Head)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective Parents interested in enrolling their children in the preschool and/or daycare
- Provide detailed information about the centre’s programs, curriculum, philosophy, and facilities and after school activities
- Schedule and provide tours of the facility, highlighting the centre’s exceptional infrastructure, facilities, environment, staff, and educational offerings
- Provide information regarding the fee structures, offers, additional fees/ charges etc
- Schedule calls with potential leads to set up meetings, conduct regular follow-ups to ensure maximum conversion to enrolment
- Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, addressing any questions or concerns from prospective and current families.
- Guide parents through the enrolment process, including application forms, required documentation, indemnities and financial agreements
- Ensure all enrolment paperwork is completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
Parental Communication
- Maintain open and clear communication channels with parents in relation to updates regarding their child as necessary.
- Interacting with parents on a regular basis to build a relationship based on trust and respect
Leadership and Management
- Oversee daily operations of the centre, ensuring smooth functioning as per schedule and directives
- Supervise, guide and evaluate staff on their respective duties, whilst ensuring their growth and welfare
Academic Management
- Oversee the implementation of the curriculum that meets the educational needs of all children
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of educational programs and to ensure adjustments as needed
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of prospective and enrolled admissions
- Prepare and submit reports on enrolment data, trends, conversion rates and feedback.
- In addition to administrative responsibilities, the role will also involve partial daycare teaching duties as needed.
- Assist daycare teachers during peak hours, activities, or in the absence of other staff. Engage with children during learning sessions, playtime, and meal times. Help maintain a nurturing and positive environment in the daycare. Participate in planning and executing child-centric activities when required.
- Escalate any issues related to staff, the center, or parents to the Center Head on priority.
Safety and Quality Assurance
- Monitor the centre to ensure a clean, hygiene and safe environment for the children
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Regularly check and update the First Aid box with necessary supplies.
- Inspect food quality, quantity, and expiry dates to ensure safety and prevent wastage.
Crisis Management
- Implement emergency response plans, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for various scenarios. (In Absence of center Head/or in case of emergencies)
- Address conflicts among staff, parents, and children, mediating effectively to resolve issues.
Professional Development
- Stay updated on the current trends in early childhood care and education by regularly attending, workshops, trainings and seminars
- Identify and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Other
- Any other responsibilities that may be necessary to ensure smooth operations and growth of the centre.
- Keep the Center Head informed regarding all communications done with parents, teachers, and other staff members.
- As the Center Coordinator reports directly to the Center Head, they must provide timely updates on all activities—including any miscellaneous tasks, and must consult with the Center Head before taking any decisions related to calls or events conducted at the center.
Qualifications:
- Certified in Early Childhood Education or Child Psychology. Additional qualifications in Educational Leadership, or a related field are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in early childhood education, including experience in a leadership or managerial role
- 2+ years of experience in education management or coordination role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, non-teaching staff, parents and program partners.
