Job Title: Cashier
Department: Front Office / Food & Beverage / Accounts (depending on hotel operations)
Job Summary:
Responsible for handling all cash, credit, and other forms of payments accurately and efficiently in the hotel. They ensure proper billing, maintain cash registers, assist guests with payment-related queries, and support smooth financial transactions in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests courteously and handle payment transactions efficiently.
- Process cash, credit/debit cards, digital payments, and vouchers.
- Issue receipts, invoices, and refunds as per hotel policies.
- Balance the cash register and reconcile daily transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Assist in resolving billing issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies and procedures.
- Provide information to guests regarding charges, bills, or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashiering counter.
- Coordinate with the accounts department for reporting and audits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role (preferably in hotels/restaurants).
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial transactions.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and billing software.
- Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hospitality/accounts preferred.
Work Environment:
- Usually stationed at the front desk, restaurant, or outlet counters.
- Requires interaction with guests, front office, and accounts team.
Salary: 15000 to 16000
