General Description:
The Analyst will play a key role as an early contributor in building multiple proprietary Citi Databases supporting the banking teams across the globe. The work includes populating/analyzing excel files & other relevant databases, creating/updating presentations, and ad-hoc projects in a high-pressure environment. The Analyst will be a part of the larger M&A Deal Intelligence team, hence it will also require the ability to source, analyze & organize/present M&A information in a thoughtfully approached manner. The role requires the candidate to interact directly with the New York team & hence requires good written and verbal communication skills. The Analyst is required to work closely with stakeholders in the New York / EMEA team with a focused approach on quality of the output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development & maintenance of multiple proprietary Citi Databases
- Research & source key information from various 3rd party databases & other web resources
- Maintain proprietary information on M&A trends in Sector/Region
- Analysis of M&A & Capital Markets information as a derivative to other related materials
Skills:
- Analytical skills: To interpret, analyze, summarize and present information
- Research Skills: To source, read and comprehend information on M&A & Capital Markets transactions.
- Knowledge of Financial terms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word applications
- Exposure to SQL queries
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word applications
- Good understanding of Investment Banking and its products.
- Exposure to 3rd party tools/repositories: Factset, Dealogic etc.
- Proficient in writing & unpacking SQL queries.
