Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage cloud cost optimization strategies across AWS and GCP environments.
- Leverage native cloud services (AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, GCP Billing, Recommender, Rightsizing, etc.) for monitoring, analysis, and optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to drive FinOps best practices.
- Analyze cloud usage patterns and recommend actionable savings opportunities.
- Automate cost reporting, alerting, and optimization workflows.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party cost optimization tools as needed.
- Support and enhance our in-house “Auto Park” solution for cloud cost management.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud pricing models, discounts, and optimization techniques.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud billing, cost management, and optimization services (e.g., AWS CUR, Cost Explorer, Savings Plans, GCP Billing, Recommender, Rightsizing).
- Experience implementing or working with cloud cost optimization tools (native or third-party).
- Good knowledge of FinOps principles and practices.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree.
Good to Have
- FinOps certification or relevant cloud certifications (AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- CICD tools experience like Harness and Jenkins
- Experience in building or maintaining internal cost optimization solutions.
