Required an Assistant accountant for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and financial records, both digital and physical.
- Perform accurate data entry for all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements with the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
- Schedule and process payments to vendors in a timely manner.
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers and clients.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is often preferred.
- Relevant certifications or a Diploma in Accounting can also be advantageous.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is typically required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Xero).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use pivot tables, formulas, and other data analysis tools.
